Post-production runs on more than your grading app.
Graviton.tools exists because the people building it have spent decades doing the work. We're colorists, finishing artists, and post-production specialists who've sat in the chair, managed the pipeline, dealt with the client calls, and felt the friction of tools that weren't quite right for the job. That experience is the foundation of everything we build.
Our goal isn't to replace the software you already depend on — DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, your delivery platform of choice. Those tools are exceptional at what they do. Our role is to build the infrastructure around them: the workflow layer that ties everything together, reduces errors, saves time, and makes your operation feel more professional from first contact with a client to final delivery.
Robbie Carman has spent nearly 25 years as a supervising colorist and post-production specialist, building DC Color into an award-winning color, HDR, and finishing facility serving clients globally. That career — grading hundreds of programs for Discovery, National Geographic, Disney+, Amazon, PBS, and others, and coloring films that have screened at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, and HotDocs — is the foundation Graviton.tools is built on.
Graviton grew from a simple observation: the creative tools in post-production are exceptional, but the workflow infrastructure around them — project management, client communication, delivery tracking, file organization — hasn't kept pace. Robbie built Graviton to close that gap, drawing on decades of firsthand experience with what working colorists and finishing artists actually deal with every day.
Beyond the color suite, Robbie is a recognized educator and subject matter expert in HDR and post-production workflows, with expertise trusted by Dolby and FSI. He's co-authored eight books, created courses for LinkedIn Learning, co-founded MixingLight.com, and has spoken at NAB, IBC, Adobe Max, and dozens of other industry events — five times earning the Adobe Max Master distinction, and recognized as the highest-rated speaker at the conference overall.
